Just wanted to let you know we have heard back from the IRS. They have approved our request to remove the failure to file and failure to pay penalties due to our good history of timely filing and timely paying. Interest owed must be paid. Over $40,000 was removed.
I am going to be sending the IRS a payment in the amount of $9,202.84 in the next day or so to close out this situation with the IRS. Thank you for your advice and guidance during this process.
