Here's another measure of customer service for a tax relief company. Before you hire them, find out --
how do they take incoming calls?
If you are like "Taxmasters," which advertises on Fox,
incoming calls are answered immediately by a salesperson but customer service calls ALWAYS go to voice mail. In an experiment that we conducted, we tried to get a hold of customer service and got voicemail FIVE TIMES in a row. This is NOT a good sign of customer service.
If you are going to risk your money for tax representation with a company that advertises on TV, be sure that you get a direct line for your representative, and be crystal clear that the person taking payment from you is the person who will be handling your case.
